today's a good day. :) ms margaret's opening up to me and im really glad that that's happening. she was quite strict and cold yesterday but today, she sat next to me and started going cranky, which is something im familiar and comfortable with. yay! and i really love kids. well, most kids.

a couple of things i have to keep in mind so as not to anger my mum:
i) dont speak monotone. speak intonation.
ii) dont carry bolster downstairs because i look like a baby when i do it
iii) eat vitamin pills everyday. eat more food. exercise. because to mum, im too thin and i dont look fit at all. i must start building my health up now so my babies will be healthy in future. hmmm.
iv) no lying down when reading book.

we shall see what adds on to this list tmr. there's a new addition daily. these are just the latest.

just got a card from my taiwan buddy. :D im all smiles now. her handwriting's so nice..and her sentences so stylishly phrased.. she's waiting for admission into university too, like me. i miss bian dang. haha...of all things i dont miss my godma first, but the food she prepares. such an ingrate :)

my sister is so busy with orientation programme that i hardly get a chance to talk to her. she either ignores me or asks me to keep quiet so i wont disturb her. :( my best friend in the house isnt giving me attention...and the only time she did ytday was when she was going to bed. and that's only because she saw sth big and black flying in her room (she suspected it's either a bat or WORSE, a big moth) and sought my help. like im not scared of those things. eepx. so anyway i couldnt do anything about it and mum went to her rescue instead. when she got her bed shifted out to my mum's room to sleep, she said good night to me and that was end of conversation. :( not that im sulking..but i just wanted to talk after a long day of silence at work. i needed to hear my voice! yes, i know, im so egotistical.

dad'll be going to shanghai at some point of this year, and i am SO going to follow him there. HA! and guess what, my sis will be left all alone in singapore. mum made a good point...if she can look after all those kids in school as a prefect, looking after herself shouldnt be a problem. HEEHEE. it pays to be a helpless, useless child afterall. :D i get to go shanghai shopping!

i miss school actually. omigod. i actually wish i have something to achieve. the education ministry has certainly done a good job in infiltrating my poor mind with its craziness afterall...in spite of all my resistance. well done.

damn bored. *wails!!!!*

Happy new year everyone! Hope it'll be a good year ahead for all of us. :)

Been blogging quite irregularly (or has it always been this way?) mostly because i'm keeping a journal again. i think it's less inhibited writing in a journal...a great deal more convenient cos i can just rant and rave about anything i like, without being criticized or being self-conscious. i like the way it allows me to reflect on what runs in my head and how my heart dictates my actions a lot. i think the reflection's doing me good. it keeps me aware of myself.

talking about writing journals...i remember my eng teacher in sec 2 made us write one once a week. i think at some part of our lives, all of us were made to do this. while most people resented submitting their journals every monday morning, i actually enjoyed doing so. it was in those journal entries to my teacher that i could write about anything and i loved reading the replies he'd give thereafter. sometimes the replies could even be two pages long, and it felt nice knowing that a teacher was so patient and took time out for his students. at that time, there were two denises in class - me and denise tan. when the teacher was still new to us, he often mistook me for denise tan, because she was more gregarious in class whereas i was more introverted (dont laugh!). instead, my journal entries revealed my inner self that i didnt present openly in english class...or basically not just to anyone im unfamiliar with. those were the days. it's a pity he left even before the year ended.

ok. enough reminiscing. mum's making me apply to australia afterall. it's no help that i dreamt of abysmal a level results last night.
